What does Consent mean for Generation Genome?

Progress Educational Trust in partnership with Genomics England as part of the Genomics Conversation - a FREE-to-attend evening event on 11 September, Nowgen Centre, Manchester 6.30-8.30pm

The event will be chaired by PROFESSOR WILLIAM NEWMAN (Director of the Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine). Speakers will include PROFESSOR SUE HILL (Chief Scientific Officer at NHS England), PROFESSOR ANNEKE LUCASSEN (coauthor of the ethics chapter in the Chief Medical Officer's new Generation Genome report) and DR TARA CLANCY (Consultant Genetic Counsellor at the Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine).

These experts will discuss consent as it relates to genomic medicine, the UK's 100,000 Genomes Project, new reports from the Chief Medical Officer and the National Data Guardian, and wider developments. The event is taking place during NHS England's Health and Care Innovation Expo (which is being held at a different venue in Manchester), but attendance is open to everyone (regardless of whether or not you are registered to attend the Expo).
