ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS: UW School of Medicine's Department of Bioethics & Humanities ATHE Program

The UW School of Medicine's Department of Bioethics & Humanities offers a hybrid program to provide Advanced Training in Healthcare Ethics (ATHE). The advance training certificate provides students with the foundational knowledge and skills in clinical ethics and ethics consultation to:

Support patients and their care teams

Serve as a member of a hospital ethics committee

Become a hospital ethics consultant

Help establish a new hospital ethics committee

The program includes of three online courses in theory, law, and methods (12 credits), and prepares students for the Healthcare Ethics Certification credentialing exam through the American Society for Bioethics & Humanities.  The program is newly accredited for up to 18 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

We are accepting applications until 7th September 2020 to start the program this autumn.  As an incentive, we are offering a $1500 discount for enrollment in the 2020-2021 program.
