Cancellation EACME 2020 Conference in Cluj and postponement until 2021

The EACME Board has been following the developments of the CoVID-19 pandemic closely over the past few months. Considering the uncertainties we are facing, the various measures countries have adopted, and the global travel restrictions in place, the EACME Daily Board, has taken the sad decision to cancel the EACME 2020 Conference in Cluj and postpone it until 2021.

This decision has been taken together with our host in Cluj, Maria Aluas, who kindly offered to reschedule the organisation to next year.

The new dates are: September 9 – 11, 2021. Please save these dates!

Abstracts accepted for presentation will be valid in 2021; however, participants can, of course, also resubmit new abstracts.

Good news: there will be an EACME Paul Schotsmans Prize available for young talented scholars this year and also next year. We are in the middle of this year's process; the winners will present their work in Cluj 2021. And there will also be EACME Collaboration Prizes and Visiting Scholarships available.

Although we will not be able to meet 'physically' this year, we would like to invite you to join us for a short 'virtual conference' on Friday, 9th September 2020, 15:00-17:30 (CET).

This will be an opportunity to hear about some of the work EACME members have been involved with during the pandemic, as well as to present the winners of the Schotsmans' Prize and the EACME Collaboration Prize. We will also set up a 'Zoom General Assembly'.
