University of Bristol: Clinical Ethics Consultation Training Day 2020

The University of Bristol's Centre for Ethics in Medicine is running a clinical ethics support training day on Thursday 19th March 2020.

The one-day event will consist of seminars using worked examples of approaches to clinical ethics consultation. Taking a case based approach, the course will focus on methods of clinical ethics consultation and the uses of ethical theory. A lecture by CEM's Jonathan Ives on moral distress will consider the impact of practice on clinicians. Facilitated groups will allow participants to put the frameworks and theories into practice on exemplar cases, before taking part in an interactive discussion of the cases with a panel drawn from CEM faculty. The emphasis is on equipping ethics committee members with opportunities to improve their skills.

A two course lunch is provided, together with regular refreshments.

The course costs £200 and will run from 9am-3:30pm at the University of Bristol. For more information and registration please visit our training pages.
