Advanced Training in Healthcare Ethics certificate program

The UW School of Medicine's Department of Bioethics & Humanities is now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 online Advanced Training in Healthcare Ethics certificate program, which begins in September 2019.  This course will help prepare you for the Healthcare Ethics Consultant-Certified credentialing exam (HEC-C). For more details, please visit the University of Washington's Department of Bioethics and Humanities website here.

Ethics in Dementia Care Summer Course

2-5 July 2019, Leuven, Belgium

The Centre for Biomedical Ethics and Law of the KU Leuven is organizing the 5rd edition of the Summer Course on Ethics in Dementia Care. The objective of the course is to foster exchanges on foundational, clinical-ethical and organizational-ethical approaches to dementia care practices.

During the Summer Course, national and international experts will give presentations on various ethical topics in the domain of dementia care. There will be time for intensive discussions. The language of instruction will be English.

The Summer Course is of interest to participants from diverse professional backgrounds, such as medicine, nursing, psychology, social work, gerontology, health care administration, philosophy and theology, and to PhD students undertaking courses of study in these areas. 2019 European Conference on Philosophy of Medicine & Health Care

The Organizing Committee of the 15th International Conference on Clinical Ethics Consultation, the leading international clinical ethics conference founded in 2003 by Professors Stella Reiter-Theil and George J. Agich, invites you to attend this year’s event in Vienna, Austria. ICCEC 2019’s program offers insights, exchange, and learning opportunities from psychology, healthcare management, organizational development, and jurisprudence that can enrich the practice of clinical ethics. The conference will cultivate this discourse through keynote lectures in general sessions, individual paper debates, poster presentations, panel discussions, and case studies. Keynote lectures will feature organizational experts and innovative thinkers stimulating clinical ethics. Master of Bioethics in Leuven

Since 2000, the Centre for Biomedical Ethics and Law of the University of Leuven (Belgium) has offered a Master of Bioethics programme in collaboration with the University of Padova (Italy) and the Radboud University Nijmegen (the Netherlands). More than 270 students from 70 different countries have since then followed the programme.

From the academic year 2016-2017 the University of Leuven is coordinating a newly designed curriculum hosting students during a whole academic year in Leuven.

For the academic year 2016-2017, various fellowships will be granted to students who want to participate in their Master of Bioethics programme.
